Mission

The Pulsera Project's mission is to make the world a more colorful and just place by educating and empowering Central American communities and U.S. students. We engage U.S. students in international service to provide economic opportunities for Nicaraguans. We also advocate for progressive ideas about international service that value economic aid as just one part of a mutual exchange that also includes the sharing of knowledge, ideas, and life experiences for the benefit of all.

What We're About

The Pulsera Project employs nearly 200 artists in Nicaragua and Guatemala with well-paying Fair Trade Jobs, providing positive & uplifting work in countries with high unemployment and frequently tough working conditions.
Through pulsera sales in U.S. Schools, The Pulsera Project provides students with a unique cultural education experience, allowing them to bring the beauty of Latin American culture to life in their own classrooms and hallways.
Proceeds from Pulsera sales are invested in Central American communities. We work side-by-side with community leaders to find high-impact investments that empower people with the skills to take control of their lives.
